Poo Yie Burgers “Angus Quarter Pounder”

Step 1

Step 1

Step 1

With a fresh pack of 1lb of that good ole Angus beef.. tear the wrapping off and get ready for the next step.  Oh and get your Poo Yie ready!

Step 2

Step 1

Step 1

Take your can of Poo Yie and sprinkle that bad boy over the top of that fresh Angus you got there.  Now flip it over and do the bottom the same way.

Step 3

Step 1

Step 3

When we say Poo Yie is the only ingredient you need just know we stand by that. We would love for you to try it without reading the next line. Now is the chance where you can add some shredded cheese, minced garlic, jalapeños, and fresh cut onions if you decide to do so.  We don’t be mad because we love it too!  Mix it real good!

Step 4

Step 4

Step 3

Go ahead divide that one pound of excellence into 4 balls evenly.

Step 5

Step 4

Step 5

You see where this is going... Make your patties the way you like to.  Always remember the burgers will wise so we like to make them flat as possible so they will have a nice diameter once cooked.

Step 6

Step 4

Step 5

Ok now it’s time to get down to business... if you like cooking your burger your own way then please do.  If you’ve never grilled before here are some tips you can use

  • Grill your Poo Yie burgers over high heat.  Whether using gas, charcoal “skip lighter fluid if possible and use charcoal starters you can find in Lowe’s or Walmart” or an indoor grill pan, you want to make sure to grill your burgers over substantial heat to form that nice crust that we all love.
  • Avoid using your spatula to press down on your burgers while cooking.  Why? Because you are wasting your time with this seasoning.  The juices are meant to stay inside the burger!!!
  • Flip your burgers only one time and about 3 minutes on each side for medium rare plus.  Keep in mind that eating burgers rare or even medium does carry certain health risks.
  • If you get a flare up, don’t panic!!! cover the grill.  Cutting off the oxygen should kill the flames.  I usually keep a cup of water on hand.. Do not add a lot of water especially using charcoal or you will get a lot of charcoal ash on your burger.
  • Once you’ve cooked your Poo Yie burger to your desired liking,  add some cheese if you wish and remove from the high heat. You can also add bbq sauce before adding the cheese.  I usually throw mine in the corner of the grill at the top for around 2 minutes.
  • Allow your burgers to rest for a few minutes before serving.  This will ensure that the juices redistribute into the meat.
